The Capital District is responsible for education of it’s clubs and members. One of the methods used to provide education is through the facilitation of District Conferences and Conventions.
District Conventions
Each August, Capital District Kiwanis holds it’s annual convention to educate its member, elect it’s leaders, celebrate our accomplishments and promote fellowship. Convention locations rotate primarily among cities:
Baltimore, MD (DelMarVA Region)
Washington, DC Metropolitan Area (National Capital Region)
Richmond, VA (Heart of Virginia Region)
Williamsburg, VA (Southeast Virginia Region)
Roanoke, VA (Southwest Region)
Our 2025 Capital District Convention will be held August 22 – 24, 2025 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlingon, VA.
Midyear Conferences
Each March, Capital District Kiwanis holds it’s annual Midyear Conference to educate its member and promote fellowship.
Our 2025 District Midyear Conference will be held February 28 – March 2, 2025 at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay in Cambridge, MD.
The application for the 2025 Teenager of the Year award is LIVE! Any students between the ages of 13 and 19 that are currently residing in DC, DE, MD, WV or VA and meet the criteria may apply. Please share with anyone you think may qualify for this opportunity!
Kiwanis club members believe in service. We care about children. We’re interested in the community around us—because the community matters to us. Do you believe in service, care about children and have an interest in our community? Ask us about Kiwanis. #kidsneedkiwanis
