Let's show our appreciation for this month's Capital District Kiwanis Club Spotlight for June 2024, the Kiwanis Club of Midlothian-Chesterfield!
This club does amazing work in their community, such as packing snack bags and donating to book vending machines for local elementary school students. They recently held their annual Charity Golf Tournament to benefit The Doorways in Richmond, which provides low cost housing and meals for families of a patient, frequently a child, at VCU Hospital. They also partner with their local Key Clubs for service projects, like food and supply drives for food banks and people experiencing homelessness. Thank you for all you are doing to improve the world one community and one child at a time!

Please join us in congratulating our Capital District Kiwanis Member of the Month for June 2024, Angie Moore of the Kiwanis Club of Mt. Airy, Maryland!
Angie puts so much into her Kiwanis life. She is a longtime member of the Key Club Adult Committee, serving as a Zone Administrator. She is a wonderful mentor for the Key Club members she works with - always ready to give advice, make everyone feel welcome, and support them through challenges.
She is involved in her home club in so many ways, and her nurturing spirit makes her everyone's "Kiwanis Mom." Having grown up around Kiwanis and then becoming a member, she is the true embodiment of a Kiwanian - humble, generous, and with one of the biggest hearts for serving children around. Her dedication is clear, as she always shows up for Capital District and even Kiwanis International events. Thank you for all you do and we celebrate you!
