Are you interested in Becoming a Capital District Kiwanis Lieutenant Governor at Large?
For Kiwanis divisions that aren’t able to elect a lieutenant governor, the Capital District Bylaws permit the Board of Trustees appoint an active Kiwanis member from a club outside that division to serve as a Lieutenant Governor-at Large (LTG-at-Large). This alternate position allows the clubs to still receive communication from the Governor and provides remote assistance to clubs, without the requirement to make in-person club visits.
Per Capital District Bylaws, having served as a Club President is required to be eligible for this position. If you have not met this requirement, your application will not be considered.
If you are interested in being considered, please complete the application below. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submissions are encouraged. The deadline is June 30, 2026. Once submitted, Governor-Elect David Lurie will contact you with further instructions.
Please note that these roles require time commitment, including attending district events. It’s important to be prepared for a fulfilling yet demanding experience For any questions, please reach out to Governor-Elect David Lurie at [email protected] or (703) 402-5959.
