Kiwanis International is pleased to announce our virtual Club Leadership Education (CLE). Taking place throughout August, this Kiwanis-sponsored training will provide a general overview of roles and responsibilities for incoming club presidents, secretaries, treasurers and membership chairs — while also giving them a chance to connect with other Kiwanis leaders.
These virtual sessions are intended to supplement district-led training for club officers. While this training can count for credit for officers who were not able to attend their district training, we strongly encourage all incoming officers to attend their district CLE training as well for district-specific information.
Virtual training dates These sessions are for all incoming and returning club-level officers unable to attend district-led training or looking for additional education:Club President: Monday, August 5 Club Secretary: Tuesday, August 6 Club Treasurer: Monday, August 12 Club Membership Chair: Tuesday, August 13All training sessions are conducted on Zoom at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT/6 p.m. MT/5 p.m. PT.
Do I have to attend the training? All incoming club level officers are required to attend CLE training. Virtual CLE training is offered as a supplement to any training you may have already received but may count for training credit if someone missed their district training.
What if I can’t attend at the scheduled time? All positional training will be recorded on Zoom for those who are unable to attend and/or would like to review the training on their own time. Recordings will be made available August 15.
How will I receive my CLE credits? After the virtual training is complete, we will ask you to complete a brief attendance survey. All attendees who complete the survey will receive credit for attending CLE training. We ask that districts continue to track attendance for all district-led CLE training in the education tracker.
How do I register? Please register here or forward the link to any incoming club officers in your club or district to ensure they get signed up.
Thank you for stepping up as a leader in your club! We look forward to welcoming you and your fellow members to these sessions. If you have questions in the meantime, contact [email protected] or your district office.
