The Foundation counts on you to serve youth and communities in the Capital District. You make a difference when you support our fundraising events at annual district conventions. We would not be able to help as many as we do without the individuals who participate in our annual fundraisers. Many give of their time and talents to make sure that the Ducky Derby and Caring Corner are a success each year, because the more we raise, the more we help.
If you would like to donate to the foundation, you can click on the donate button or download the paper form and mail to Nancy Simonelli.
When you designate the Capital District Kiwanis Foundation (under your AmazonSmile account), Amazon donates a portion of sales to us. Support us every time you sign in to AmazonSmile to shop.
Caring Corner raises funds to help support the nine pediatric trauma centers the Capital District Kiwanis Foundation supports.
Clubs and members assemble theme baskets to promote competition. Ask your local grocery store, city tourism bureau, local winery, local hardware store, local jewelry store, etc. The themes are endless.
The Gift Basket Raffle is held at the annual Capital District Convention in August. The Caring Corner room displays all gift baskets. Buy tickets and deposit them into the container or containers you’d like a chance to win. Staff draw winners during the House of Delegates on Saturday afternoon, winners names are posted by the end of the meeting. Baskets must be picked up by the end of DCON.
We encourage district Kiwanians to sell or buy Ducky Derby Certificates to help support the nine pediatric trauma centers we support. Tickets are distributed to all Capital District Kiwanis Clubs. You may download tickets online also. The drawing takes place Saturday at the Capital District Convention following the House of Delegates. Winners need not be present to win.
$7.00 each or 2/$10.00; Contact Nancy Simonelli to order or visit the Foundation sales room at Mid Year or District Convention.
Show your support for the Foundation with branded Kiwanis apparel and other items. Proudly let others know you’re a Kiwanian. It’s a great way to attract new members too.
