We would not be able to help as many as we do without the individuals who participate in our annual fundraisers. Many give of their time and talents to make sure that the Ducky Derby and Caring Corner are a success each year, because the more we raise, the more we help. All funds raised help support the nine pediatric trauma centers in the Capital District.
If you would like to donate to the foundation, you can click on the donate button or download the paper form and mail to Nancy Simonelli.
When you shop at AmazonSmile, Amazon will donate to Capital District Kiwanis Foundation. Support us every time you shop.
The primary purpose of the Caring Corner is to raise funds to help support the nine pediatric trauma centers in the Capital District.
We encourage clubs to assemble their theme basket to promote competition. Ask your local grocery store, city tourism bureau, local winery, local hardware store, etc. The themes are endless.
The Gift Basket Raffle is held at the Capital District Convention held each year in August. The Gift Basket Raffle displays all baskets in the caring Corner at DCON. Drawing is held during the House of Delegates on Saturday afternoon.
Ducky Derby Certificates are sold by Capital District Kiwanis Clubs. The event will take place Saturday at the District Convention. Prizes are awarded to the winning duck recipients.

The Capital District Kiwanis Foundation is pleased to congratulate and spotlight the Kiwanis Club of Ellicott City!
As a part of the spring 2020 funding cycle, their club received $4,500 through grant funding for their “Backpacks for Breaks” program, in partnership with the Howard County Public School System. The club’s project addresses food insecurity by proving backpacks of non-perishable food for elementary and middle school students during winter and spring break. This grant will allow their club to pack 125 bookbags with 10 days worth of food for all 3 meals. That is a total of 3,750 meals!
The Capital District Kiwanis Foundation will continue to spotlight our grant recipients as their projects come to life. If your club would like to apply for a grant, please find the details located at https://k03.site.kiwanis.org/foundation-grants/
